Suez Canal Insurance Company Overview

It is an Egyptian joint stock company established on October 10, 1979, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. (159) for the year 1981, and the Supervision and Control Law No. (10) for the year 1981. It is the first insurance company from the private sector in Egypt, established under the umbrella of the Arab Contractors and the Suez Canal Authority.

Since the establishment of the Suez Canal Insurance Company in the Egyptian market, it achieves the ideal model and comprehensive experience in providing distinguished insurance services for national projects, private sector projects, investment, and others. Therefore, its branches extend to 45 branches in all governorates of the Arab Republic of Egypt in support and concern for the safety of the national economy to achieve achievements High. The authorized capital of the company is 500 million Egyptian pounds, the paid-up capital is 5.203 million Egyptian pounds, the total value of assets is 1.892 billion Egyptian pounds, and the total investments amounted to 1.359 billion Egyptian pounds. The Suez Canal Company achieved a net profit of 8.38 million pounds and a return on equity of 2.14% for the fiscal year 2020/2021.
